Great Beauties Gone Mad

Well, he's done it again. How is it that every season Alber Elbaz sends out frock after stunning frock without batting an eye? For Fall '09, the mastermind behind the house of Lanvin seamed to be inspired by AMC's Mad Men. There were alot of elbow length gloves, tailored dresses, and hip hugging pencil skirts the TV show has made quite popular.
The structured 1950's silhouettes looked perfectly modern with hardware details. I especially loved the color palette. I'm always one for blacks and grays because that is when one can really appreciate detail. I also love the idea luxury. Lots of it. Recession or not woman want to feel powerful. And with clothes like theses, she will have no problem demanding that attention.
